Describe the current rule in accessible language, while still being precise. This would typically be 20-50 words.

Describe the proposed change in accessible language, while still being precise. This would typically be 10-20 words.
Rationale#
Describe one or more reasons why this change is worthwhile. These should be compelling but not overstated; if they are based on supposition or “common sense” then say so.
This would typically be 50-100 words.
Impact#
Describe the effect of the change, as far as it can be determined. This should be concise without omitting important information. This would typically be 50-100 words.
Describe the effect of the change on individual data items or datasets: will validation status change? What will we see in IATI’s tooling as a result of this change? Do existing publishers or data users need to do anything as a direct result of this change?
Describe the benefits of the change: what becomes easier or possible as a result of the change? Are there any actions required to see the benefit of the change?
Describe the scale of the impact: how much published data is affected by the change - how many activities, by how many reporting orgs? Does it affect a certain type of reporting org more than others?

The IATI Standard Change Principles provide a framework of criteria that any proposed change should respect. Assess the proposed change against the principles.
